Master presets to consider – title, contents, heavy copy, light copy, image focused

In a document consider:
Page numbers
Title
Subheading
Body copy
Quotes
Images
Captions
Background

Generally people struggle to write sentences longer than ten words; this is why newspapers are designed with columns

Margins – books will be higher on the inside and smaller on outside margins to allow for folding

Save character styles by writing a style and save (window > styles > character styles); this is especially useful when needing to change colours throughout whole document

File > Package will save all content in a document and sort it in the folder i.e. to send to printers

Turn your designs upside down to suss out shape and composition; colour etc. and check all angles are effective
