I am an MA Graphic Design student at Falmouth Uni. I’m currently conducting research around access to sustainable materials specifically within the design industry for my final project.
I would be really grateful if you would have a few minutes to respond and tell me your experience personally with access to sustainable resources. This can be anything at all – whether it’s your experience with clients requesting specific materials and how you approached it/recommended alternatives, or any suggestions on how the design industry needs to improve its sustainable footprint. For instance, are there concerns that opting for sustainable materials means compromising on quality, is sustainable pricing too high for client budgets, or is it simply an access/awareness issue?
I’m in the very early stages of creating a project which will result in creating a toolkit that helps designers access sustainable alternatives. I need to identify the problem before developing a solution, and I felt the best way was to reach out to yourselves.

I am an MA Graphic Design student at Falmouth Uni (UK). I’m currently conducting research around access to sustainable materials specifically within the design industry for my final project.
I’m creating a project which will result in a toolkit that helps designers access sustainable alternatives, and enables both packaging manufacturers (like yourselves) and designers to work together to reach a sustainable solution for a client. I have reached out to many design studios who have all agreed something like this would involve designers in projects in the much earlier stages rather than design being considered as one of the last.
I would be really grateful if you would have a few minutes to respond with your feedback and suggestions on a project like this, from your perspective. I am sure you would love your packaging to be used globally to promote sustainability but maybe there are ways the design industry needs to change to allow collaboration? Are there methods you implement to approach designers?
