On this page, include a clear research question, with aims, objectives, purpose and audience, that forms the catalyst for your enquiry. You should also outline the type of written submission you will be creating whether it is academic/ research based or entrepreneurial/ business based.
  • One A4 page critical path outlining the logistics and resourcing plan for the project – bearing in mind that the final output for the project may not be fully resolved.
  • All outputs clearly documented on your blog, and evidence of active engagement with the Ideas Wall.
  • Research Ethics Review form completed using the Falmouth handbook
  • Draft consent form completed using the Falmouth Guidebook

Research question:

How can Eco-Collective transform the design industry through sustainability?

Aims:

The aim is to create a multi-faceted, sustainable, design service by the name of Eco-Collective. The objective is to transform the way design is created and highlight how simple switching to sustainable practice is.

Objectives:

To identify the best sustainable option of print and packaging using sustainable materials, through research, experimentation and expert insight within the design industry.

Purpose:

As designers, there is not enough being done to promote sustainable design practice; designers are responsible for resources such as inks, paper, packaging and devices that use high amounts of energy. I want to flip that and show it is possible to keep clients, designers and the environment happy if all these elements are carefully considered and swapped for ethical alternatives.

Audience:

The audience will be graphic designers (small/large companies, or freelancers) who want to create honest, sustainable design to benefit themselves and clients.

Submission outcomes:

1x 5000 word report for Eco-Collective
1x Eco-Collective book detailing the services available
1x PDF showcasing Eco-Collective website/app mock-ups, including marketing strategies
