Reference Material

The Wayback: Side Hustle (DandD)

• The film explores how the final output was formatted; the film made was designed to trigger memories from the past, but easy to use in that its function was through a hand held cardboard box.
• In 1953, an event was recreated. Elderly people can associate with their own lives back in that period.
• 360 degree view made the event seem real, like you were there
• Positive spin with the situation these people with dementia are living in, to remember what they have achieved in their lives and spent time with loved ones, happy memories

The Wayback project (interview)

• The project was designed in order to help those with dementia remember their past
• Funding relied on the public donating in order to go through
• The cast and crew came through the funding platform (kickstarter) but everyone included = 160 people. Nobody was being paid for it, it was because it meant something to them to get involved i.e. a loved one had dementia
