I’ve found an interesting document that explores the benefits on sustainable design and how that process should work. I especially like the focus on printing ink, paper and materials like this as it goes that one step further than just recycling materials:

Electricity is a major contributor to the environment which people don’t really consider in their design processes – paper, ink and packaging are all basics.
