Making this idea user friendly:
I want to make an app that connects to the VR glasses – it’s important that the customer has options to explore and can customise their experience, making the overall concept user friendly.
In order to do this, I want to use the idea of a game. I think an incentive to win points will keep shoppers entertained – also I want to make the shopper feel happy and/or accomplished every time they go shopping for food. I have decided that I want to educate customers on what the good things are about the brands that they are looking at, or present good alternatives to the brands they are looking at. That way, there is positivity and motive without ‘telling the shopper off’ and creating negativity.
The points scheme will work like this:
A brand that is currently not very sustainable – negative points
A brand that is currently using sustainable principles – positive points
I have been looking at the certified logos that should be on good sustainable packaging and have discovered a lot of brilliant sustainable standard bodies on these sites:

Responsibly sourced palm oil
Forest Stewardship Council
Compostable product
Wind powered
Wildlife friendly
Certified Vegan

Aluminium is recyclable
Check local recycling as some schemes may reject packaging
Financial contribution – actually doesn’t mean the packaging itself is recyclable
Widely recycled
Some new terminology I’ve learnt: Cradle to cradle. Cradle to cradle is a sustainable business strategy that mimics the regenerative cycle of nature in which waste is reused. In nature, when a tree or animal dies or creates waste, that waste breaks down and becomes nutrients for another process.
